Common Ground. Common Good.

Posted April 29, 2010

WHEN WE LOOK AROUND US, we see life’s great potential. We are inspired by what we see. We see our communities pulling together to enrich the lives of its citizens. We see neighbors reaching out to help one another. We see our customers passionate about their families and the desire to improve their lives. We see our fellow associates at Regions and Morgan Keegan dedicated to making life better and celebrating all that is good around us.

We believe in social responsibility. We believe in doing good. And we believe in seeing the good that is all around us. We want to focus on and celebrate the good. It’s there. All we have to do is see it.

We continue to be inspired each and every day by stories of our fellow associates, by our customers and by our communities that we serve. These are stories of selfless service. These are stories of inspiration. These are stories of courage and great will. These stories remind us that life is, indeed, good. And we all have a lot to be thankful for.

We all share a common goal. To make life better for those around us. For our families, our fellow associates, our customers. To help individuals, families, businesses, neighborhoods, and communities thrive and grow. Because quite frankly, when we make life better for those around us, we make our own lives better as well. It’s that simple. No man is an island. When we come together to find the common ground that we all share, we can achieve the common good for all of us. One hand helping another.

As the small group of associates that started this online community, we thank you for visiting the website and more importantly, being a part of See the Good. We hope the experience will continue to inspire you to see—and to share with others—the good that is around us all.

And to read more real life stories about the good work and good works that Regions is doing in its communities, we invite you to read “Common Ground, Common Good,” Regions Social Responsibility Report for 2009. Visit regions.com/socialresponsibility.

This site brightens my day each and every time I go to it. If I am having a difficult time, I know that all I have to do is read a story on See the Good, and I'm rejuvenated once more. Keep up the good work and keep the stories coming!!

There is so much turmoil in our world today....stressed economy, corrupt leaders, oil spill, and decreasing moral values so we all have to look beyond these things to "See the Good". I am thankful to work for Regions and am proud to be a part of a team that is determined to be positive in a negative world. I am confident in our leaders at Regions but I do admit I pray daily for God to give them wisdom as they make decisions and the impact those decisions have on our customers and employees.

I am so proud of Regions for supporting a way to spread the news about the good things that go on in the world around us. We see so little good news in the media and we need to know that our world still has good things happening and good people helping others. Thanks for sharing good stories! I love to read them.
